The quiz is great in theory but can you truly do a quiz oblique enough as to not make it obvious which choice is which? Otherwise we are just giving them the option anyway and then we might as well keep the current system as to make sure they get into whichever house they wish.
Where do I go to take the quiz to be able to get sorted in the house I should be in and not just say what I want?
The ability to choose your house is blatantly ridiculous.. I remember when I first joined the site --which was not long ago-- I have only one choice(Hufflepuff). Even if you look at your converse with the hat, it still sounds ridiculous.

Personally I strongly dislike the way that the current Sorting works, with all due respect to its creator(s). I believe that everyone should be sorted into the house that they truly belong in, with a quiz. To make it even more realistic to Hogwarts standards, I think a nice feature would be to ask two extra questions-- which house do you most admire, and which house you feel you truly belong in. That way everyone gets what they would like, in a realistic way. If the Sorting Hat is torn, it should let you choose. I think it is utterly unfair to only have one option due to all the other Houses having too many people. My idea will eliminate all unfairness and I firmly believe that it should be taken up immediately. This is the one thing that has always annoyed me about the site; if it is fixed then everyone when logging in just after the change should receive the new quiz to make it even more fair. Please don't make the answers too obvious, though. If you could get a hold on the official Pottermore quiz then add the extra choices I suggested, I would be more than happy. Thank you all so much for your unwavering support.

The quiz way, people will see where they really belong, but they can write the answers they think will get them into the house they desire, like how the sorting hat takes into account which house you'd like to be in.
