Gracidea aka Gracidea Selywn (She/Her) is a pure-blood witch living in Many places. She wields a 11¾" Holly, Unicorn Hair wand, and a member of the unsorted masses of Hogwarts students just off the train eagerly crowding around the Sorting Hat. Her favorite Harry Potter book is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and her favorite Harry Potter character is Luna Lovegood.

About Me
Gracidea: (Noun) a peculiar little creature characterized by a small, lithe stature and trusting blue eyes. A timid soul, caught between duty to her family and following her heart. Approach with caution.

Story:
Gracidea's story is a blur. She was born, she grew, but soon, she was smuggled from her parents by her babysitter, Alice, with little more detail than sounds, colors, and movement. She was four then.

Alice whispered awful stories of her parents in the fading parts of the day, and at her tender age, Graci grew up with no other option but to listen and believe them. "Death Eaters", she called them, but how could her parents be associated with something so horrible as death? Despite this, Graci always has a small reminder of the life that she once had: a thin
golden necklace around her neck. From her parents, Alice told her. Her name is embroidered on the back of the flower-shaped pendant, a burn mark marring most of the calligraphy that lay there. Graci has it to this day. Besides the bedtime stories and the lone trinket, talking of her parents, of their evil, was forbidden in the household.

Life under Alice ran much more smoothly though. Alice was an old-fashioned pureblood, raised in Pagan ways-- she taught Graci the ways of Natural Magick in addition to the standard wand way. She learned happily. For one, Natural Magick wasn't easily manipulated for evil, which suited the young witch perfectly. Her parents' fate was not in her plans.

When; she received her Hogwarts letter, she was positively thrilled. Life was looking up considerably. So, with her bags packed with second-hand things, Alice sent the ecstatic young witch on her way, telling her to be good and to make friends and to remember to keep Meru (her pet cat, white as hope) always within her sights. "He'll help you stay out of trouble," she said.

Graci hopes that is true.
