About Me

Henry Yorke | Lord Harry | Prince Hal

"I was born in a brothel. I don't even know which of the six illiterate %$!#@% was my mother, but when, one by one, each of them was lost to disease or violence, I mourned them like they were my blood. I ran away to sea; learnt the ropes of a cabin boy for a while before one sympathetic passenger offered me my salvation. A life growing up in the patronage of a wealthy individual, a Lord, who had no children of his own to lavish his riches on. He taught me manners and literacy. It was only when I turned eleven that I realised the true reason why he took me under his wing. My letter from Hogwarts arrived and he wasn't at all surprised. Said there was something special about me, a hidden depth that he could not put his finger on. So here I am. A wizard. A far cry away from the depths where I began."

Henry is currently studying at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, absorbing all of the education he can, as he knows that it is a privilege and is very lucky to be there. Discovering that he is a rather apt wizard, his only struggles are his attempts at keeping his past hidden from those he meets. Being a member of Slytherin, the topic of heritage comes up quite frequently and the constant question playing on his mind of who his father is has caused him to spend all of his free time scouring old school photo albums for any sign of a boy who may resemble him... Out of school, he lives in an old country estate with his patron in Hertfordshire, studying pursuits that his Lord sees fit for a young gentleman. Trying to bridge the gap between the two worlds is difficult, but Henry is clinging to the structure that they provide, knowing that one day, all too soon, he will drop off into the abyss of adulthood: a world of uncertainty and danger.
