No one before her in her family has had the gift, and those she knew once that had it were always much stronger, always made Jezelia feel inferior.
She ran away from them one day, away from all those that criticized her and made her feel less than what she was worth, finding comfort in the streets of London and the orphanage she was able to live in as she grew. Her family is out there somewhere, but whether they are searching or not she doesn't know.
So now she hides the gift.
When it comes, it comes swiftly, never lasting more then a minute. Most are of the future, but some of the past. Her eyes cloud up and she freezes, seemingly lost in her thoughts. But it's not her thoughts. No, it's the visions.
