Candlelight illuminated with its flickering glow, the freckled face of a sleeping girl who appeared at peace, but only appeared. During the REM sleep stage commonly known as the dreaming phase, the body is rendered immobile preventing the creations of the mind from causing physical harm to the body. Behind those closed lids, the eyes shift rapidly with all the movement otherwise impossible to be expressed. Then the cycle ticks over and her orbs snap open to awaken, showing in their reflection for just seconds during the phenomenon of sleep paralysis; a wave of emotions, lingering as a result of the night's ordeal. After that it fades, leaving no evidence of its previous existence save for twisted troubles in the unconscious mind. Until tomorrow, when she lives it once again.
