Maximus Valiant is the second son of two famous Quidditch players, Jynx Valiant and Jade Wood. As was to be expected, Max was quick to follow in his parents' footsteps and become quite the quidditch player himself. Originally a seeker on the Gryffindor house team, Max recently decided to do something unexpected and try out for a beater. Despite his small stature, Max easily took the position and excels at it.

Max is somewhat shy, though when it comes to things he's good at, such as Quidditch or his better subjects in school, there's no matching his confidence. He is also quite innocent for a thirteen-year-old boy, mostly due to the efforts of his older brother, Cyrus, whom Max looks up to more than anyone.
