sapphirelight aka Light (He/Him) is a 29 year old (DOB: September 27, 1994) half-blood wizard living in Glasgow. He wields a 10¾" Maple, Unicorn Hair wand, and a member of the unsorted masses of Hogwarts students just off the train eagerly crowding around the Sorting Hat. His favorite Harry Potter book is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and his favorite Harry Potter character is Luna Lovegood.

About Me
Light was 7 when the aurors came. His mother - a muggle - had died giving birth to him and he had been raised his whole life by his loving, pure-blooded father - who's only misdeed in his eyes was cursing him with such a horrendous name.

Light had no idea his father had been struggling to make ends meet, the first he heard of it was the day he was arrested for the sale of magical drugs in Knockturn Alley.

Raised for the next 4 years in a magical orphanage, Light vowed that he would not make the same mistakes his father did. He would be an upstanding citizen and make a difference to the world. His thirst for knowledge and desire to prove himself meant that the hat was torn between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. In the end - however, Light was swayed by the negative image of Slytherin and convinced the Hat to place him in Ravenclaw.
