Veritas (She/Her) is a 29 year old (DOB: January 21, 1995) half-blood witch. She wields a 9" Ivy, Unicorn Hair wand, and a member of the unsorted masses of Hogwarts students just off the train eagerly crowding around the Sorting Hat. Her favorite Harry Potter book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and her favorite Harry Potter character is Luna Lovegood.

About Me
Named after the Greek goddess of Truth, Veritas has an impossible compulsion to tell the truth. This breath of fresh air quality is a double-edged sword. This inability to lie can lead to uncomfortable and even hurtful situations which have cost Veritas a number of friends and even more relationships. When confronted with the truth, can anyone stomach it? Is Veritas destined to be alone?

Her life was turned upside down by the vampire who turned her one dark night when she was walking home from work. The glowing eyes and distended teeth are the thing of nightmares for her even after she accumulated them herself. She struggles to control her glowing eyes so she may appear human but when dealing with strong emotions her eyes come alive and radiate like a seaside lighthouse in a bright fluorescent green. Her teeth appear human until the reaction of her eyes also cause her teeth to grow long and sharp in her mouth. Her long blond hair and blue eyes are the peak of innocence but her soul since the night of her rebirth is the image of nightmares.

Fate is a cruel mistress to Veritas. She can't lie and she can't seem to control her emotions enough to appear human. She is everything she hates in this world. Will she ever feel accepted or normal again?
